When adding a folder to Audirvāna, the computer sets a unique ID. This ID properly identifies the drive you connected as the one you use to sync your folder, thus displaying your albums and tracks in white.
The computer could change this unique ID, making Audirvāna identify your drive as a new drive. Thus, the albums and tracks from it are displayed in grey and can't be played.
The first thing to do is check if Audirvāna can see your device. You can see this in the Local/Library settings of Audirvāna (you will see AUTO next to the synced path):
To get rid of this, there is a simple way: you can remove your AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file and reopen Audirvāna to generate a new file. Thus, you will need to sync your folder again.
Here is how to find this file:
On MacOS:
Using Finder:
- Press the option (or alt) key on your keyboard and keep it pressed. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu. (if you still can't see Library, please follow this procedure)
- Click Library in the Finder menu
- Navigate into Application Support > Audirvana
- You'll find there the AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file
On Windows:
It can be in two different locations :
C:\Users\[your login]\AppData\Local\Packages\Audirvana.Audirvana-[… id number that can vary]\LocalCache\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana
or
C:\Users\[your login]\AppData\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana
If you can't see the AppData folder, please follow this procedure.
Note: When you delete the AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file, you will lose all your local favorites, playlists and artists pictures in Audirvāna.
However you can create a back-up for them.
To create a backup of your local favorites, playlists and artists pictures, you will need to go into Audirvāna's Local/Library settings and scroll to the bottom of the page:
Once you have made your backup, you will need to add your folder to Audirvāna and then Restore the backup to see all your local favorites, playlists, and artist pictures.
