If you do not have a lot of duplicates, you can also remove the tracks/albums from Audirvāna by selecting the track you want to remove and pressing Delete. For an album, hover the album and press Delete in the three-dot menu.
Note: You can also remove multiple tracks at the same time by selecting them (select on then hold Shift ⇧) and in the three-dot menu, press Delete.
Removing the Audirvāna database file
It’s possible that the conversion of the database file of the 3.5 version to Audirvāna Studio had an issue during the conversion process. If your tracks are greyed out, please read this article to learn more about them.
This then means you need to remove the AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file.
Note: When you delete AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite, you will lose all the Playlists and Favorite you created in Audirvāna.
However, you can back up all those Playlists and Favorites by going to the Local section of Audirvāna:
[MacOS] To go to AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite with the Finder:
1. Open its Go menu
2. Press the option (or alt) key and keep it pressed. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu.
3. Click on this Library command
4. In the Finder window that opens, navigate into Application Support, then Audirvana
5. You’ll find there the file AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite
After doing this, move the AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite (the version 3.5 database) to a different location, like your Desktop.
Finally, open Audirvāna Studio and sync your folder to check if your issue persists. If it doesn’t, you can restore your playlists and favorites.
Note: if you still have duplicates after doing this, pelase create a ticket.
[MacOS] Changing iTunes settings
iTunes duplicates the audio files when importing them by default. To avoid such behavior, you need to unselect "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" in the Files settings of iTunes/Music:
Once you have done this, you must use the iTunes sync or folder sync of Audirvāna. Please read this article to learn more about it.
In addition, you may want to delete one copy of these duplicated files by iTunes to reclaim disk space.
Note: if you still have duplicates after doing this, pelase create a ticket.
