Getting DSD playback natively on Audirvāna is only possible if you use an ASIO driver, usually done by the manufacturer of your USB device, or if you use a UPNP device capable of DSD playback.
This means you won't be able to play native DSD on a MacOS device. MacOS cannot send raw DSD streams, so the DSD over PCM standard has been developed to send raw DSD in a fake PCM stream.

Note: if you use macOS to a UPNP device capable of DSD, the device will natively play at DSD.
A DSD-capable device will display its frequency in the audio output settings of Audirvāna like this:

Using Windows, you must go to the website of your USB device's manufacturer and find the ASIO driver for it.
Once done, you must select this driver as an audio output:
