Creating a smart playlist

In this article:

Step 1: Open the playlist manager

The playlists manager is always available in the toolbar, wherever you are in Audirvāna:

Note: To keep the manager displayed in Audirvāna, click the icon at the top right of the fitler editor to pin the editor at the left or the right of your view:

Step 2: Click on the plus button with a lightning

You need to click on the icon on the right with the lightning to create a new smart playlist:

Once you click on it, you must set a name for it and press Return to create the playlist.

Step 3: Set the rules for your playlist

After creating the playlist, the filter editor will appear automatically, allowing you to add your rules to the smart playlist.

You first need to set how the criteria will work:

Then, you must add the rules that will be applied to your smart playlist. You have thirty-seven criteria you can use on your smart playlist, and the possibilities are endless.

You can find below an example where we set a playlist criteria to display all the tracks added to Audirvāna fifteen days ago:

If you don't see content in your smart playlist, ensure you don't set too many rules or are not too restrictive.

When you have made your rules as you wish, you can also filter the content of your playlist in the filter editor right below the zone where you set your rules.

Note: any criteria you set will be automatically applied to the smart playlist.

Tip: Once you have done creating your smart playlists, you can group them in a playlist folder to find them easily. Please read this article to learn more about the playlist folders.

Tip n°2: You can also add your playlists as a shortcut in the My Music section once the playlist is created (limited to three shortcuts) by clicking on this arrow next to the name of your playlist in the playlist manager:
