You can create three types of playlists in Audirvāna:

  • Manual playlists to combine local and streaming tracks (Audirvāna Studio only)
  • Streaming playlists (Audirvāna Studio only) (Please read this article to know more about it)
  • Smart playlists are automatically updated from your local library according to your defined rules. (Please read this article to know more about it)

Creating a playlist

In this article:

Step 1: Open the playlist manager

The playlists manager is always available in the toolbar, wherever you are in Audirvāna:

Note: To keep the manager displayed in Audirvāna, click the icon at the top right of the fitler editor to pin the editor at the left or the right of your view:

Step 2: Click on the plus button with a music note icon

You need to click on the icon on the left with the music note icon to create a new manual playlist or next to the My Playlists section in the playlist navigator:

Once you click on it, you must set a name for it and press Return to create the playlist.

You can also create a playlist by clicking on the plus icon next to My Playlists in the My Music section:

Step 3: Add tracks or albums to your manual playlists

With manual playlists in Audirvāna, you can add local and streaming tracks (only for Audirvāna Studio). Those playlists can be manually sorted (Please read this article to know more about it)

You have two ways to add track to your manual playlist:

  • Drag & drop the tracks or album to your playlist

You must add your playlists as a shortcut in the My Music section by clicking on this arrow next to the name of your playlist in the playlist manager:

Once you've done this, you can drag & drop tracks/album to add them to your playlist:

Note: You can also directly create your playlist by drag and droping a selection of tracks or an album on My Playlists section
  • Using the three-dot menu

Whether you want to add a track or an album to a manual playlist, you have the option to add your content to a manual playlist:

Note: If you add the same music twice to a manual playlist, Audirvāna will ask you if you really want to add the track to the playlist.

You can also filter the content of your playlist by clicking on the funnel icon in the toolbar to open the filter editor of Audirvāna:

Tip: Once you have done creating your manual playlists, you can group them in a playlist folder to find them easily. Please read this article to learn more about the playlist folders.

Tip n°2: You can also add your playlists as a shortcut in the My Music section once the playlist is created (limited to three shortcuts) by clicking on this arrow next to the name of your playlist in the playlist manager:
