When Audirvāna is blocked and closes itself, an error is displayed. Please first restart your computer and try to reproduce the issue.

If you still have your issue, you must gather multiple pieces of information automatically generated by Audirvāna and send them to us.

Getting the crash files from Audirvāna

In this article:

For Windows users: go to your Desktop folder.

After Audirvāna crashes, you should have a file named audirvana_studio.dmp or audirvana_origin.dmp, depending on your version of Audirvāna.

We will also need the audirvana_studio.log or audirvana_origin.log file, which can be in two different locations :

C:\Users\[your login]\AppData\Local\Packages\Audirvana.Audirvana-[… id number that can vary]\LocalCache\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana
C:\Users\[your login]\AppData\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana

You will need to enable the view of hidden files and folders to see the AppData folder. You can find more about this from the Microsoft blog.

For macOS users: go to the Console app of macOS

You can find the Console in the Applications folder under the Utilities folder:

Once you open the Console app, you must go to the sidebar and select "Crash reports" (if you don't see it in the sidebar, please refer to the Apple guide).

We will use the latest crash log generated by Audirvāna. Once you find it, open it in the Finder: Choose File > Reveal in Finder.

We will also need the audirvana_studio.log or audirvana_origin.log file, which can be found using Finder:

1. Press the ⇧ ⌘ L keys simultaneously or the option (or alt) key on your keyboard and keep it pressed. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu.
2. In the Finder window that opens, navigate into Application Support, then Audirvana
3. You’ll find the audirvana_studio.log or audirvana_origin.log file there.

If Audirvāna hangs and is not responding but still opens, force the app to quit by pressing the ⌘ Q keys simultaneously.

This should bring you a window saying, "You have forced Audirvana to quit." You must click on "Report..." Please select all the text of the hang report, paste it into a TextEdit file, and save it.

Note: once you have all the files, please create a ticket.

For Linux users: go to the folder containing your log file

You can find the folder containing your audirvana_studio.log or audirvana_origin.log file in this folder:

~/.local/share/audirvana

Note: once you have the file, please create a ticket.
